<p>Theory Test Pro is a realistic online simulation of the UK&rsquo;s driving theory test. Free to use, it is suitable for anyone learning to drive a car, motorbike, passenger vehicle, or heavy goods vehicle. All the material is licensed from DVSA (Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency), which sets the test.</p>

<p>Library members can download digital books, comics, graphic novels, and audiobooks for all ages for free and read them on a computer, tablet, or mobile. And can also be accessed via the <a href="https://meet.libbyapp.com/">Libby eBook App</a> too.</p>

<h2>What is Social Prescribing?</h2>
<p>Social prescribing enables a GP, nurse or other healthcare professional to refer you to a specialist link worker to talk about the issues you are facing and find the right services to support you.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>Link workers give people time, focusing on &lsquo;what matters to me&rsquo; and taking a holistic approach to people&rsquo;s health and wellbeing. They connect people to community groups and statutory services for practical and emotional support.</p>

<p>Social prescribing works for a wide range of people, including people:</p>
<ul>
<li>with one or more long-term conditions</li>
<li>who need support with their mental health</li>
<li>who are lonely or isolated</li>
<li>who have complex social needs which affect their wellbeing, i.e. money and debt issues, domestic abuse, employment</li>

<h2>Internet Useage Policy on devices at Barking &amp; Dagenham Libraries</h2>
<p>Barking and Dagenham Libraries provides computer and internet access and Wifi as part of its role of enabling access to cultural and educational information and resources. The service does not deny legitimate access to information by any member of the public, but recognises that such a resource is potentially open to misuse and abuse. The following policy has been produced in order to safeguard the interests of the service and the community it serves:</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>1. Barking and Dagenham Libraries has no control over the accuracy and legality of the information on the Internet, and therefore cannot assume any responsibility for damages, direct or indirect, arising from its connection to the Internet. Barking and Dagenham Libraries recommends that services and goods should not be ordered over the Internet using Barking and Dagenham Libraries computers as confidentiality of personal information cannot be guaranteed. The Council will, where possible, attempt to restrict access to controversial materials on the Internet but accepts no responsibility or liability in respect of access to such information by individual users.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>2. Children under 7 will not be allowed access unless accompanied by a parent or carer over the age of 18. Young people aged 7-15 will be allowed access, provided they have the written consent of a parent or guardian. The parent/guardian will need to give consent using a form provided by the Library Service.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p>3. By using the computers in this library you are agreeing to the Declaration below. Individual users of the computers will be responsible for their own behaviour and communications over the network. All usage will be monitored, and anyone found infringing the Public Computer Use Agreement will be stopped from using the service.</p>

<p>4. Any member of the public found installing software or interfering with any virus checking software, any other software, hardware, or associated IT equipment will be barred from the subsequent use of any of the Library Services' IT facilities.</p>

<p>5. Pornographic material transmitted over the Internet is subject to legislation in the Obscene Publications Acts of 1959 and 1964. Under these Acts, it is an offence to publish obscene material. The Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994, states that the transmission of electronic data constitutes publication. The Telecommunications Act 1984 makes it an offence to transmit, over telephone lines in England and Wales, a message or any other material that is grossly offensive or of indecent, obscene or menacing character.</p>

<p>6. Barking and Dagenham Libraries reserves the right to refuse further computer access to any individuals accessing or distributing materials which are deemed to be illegal or unacceptable or have the potential to offend or disturb others, particularly abusive forms of marketing, violence or pornography, and materials which could incite hatred or discrimination on the basis of race, religion, gender or sexual preference. Accessing chat rooms is not allowed and Barking and Dagenham Libraries reserves the right to refuse further computer access to any individuals accessing chat rooms.</p>

<p>Home Library Service is free to the residents of Barking &amp; Dagenham. We can deliver collections of books, audiobooks or music to anyone who is home-restricted because of age or disability (long or short term).</p>
<p>We visit you to find out what kind of books and music you enjoy and what format of books you prefer.</p>
<p>This can be:</p>
<ul>
<li>audiobooks</li>
<li>large print</li>
<li>paperback books</li>
<li>hardback books</li>
</ul>
<p>The collections are delivered monthly and requests are taken for particular titles or subjects.</p>
<h2>Care homes and sheltered housing</h2>
<p>We also provide collections of books to care homes and sheltered housing in the borough.&nbsp;These collections are changed on a regular basis.</p>
